Worldwide Vets African Scholarship
Worldwide Vets is proud to provide the African Scholarship, an annual scholarship designed to help vet students and vets join our wildlife courses in southern Africa. The scholarship is intended to remove the financial barrier to attending the course, allowing professionals access training that may otherwise be beyond their means.
Successful applicants will receive:

A free place on any of our wildlife courses in Southern Africa
To be used towards:

Full scholarship to attend one of our South African wildlife veterinary courses

While preference may be given to students attending Worldwide Vets wildlife programmes, applications are welcome from individuals attending any recognised wildlife veterinary course in Africa.

The scholar is required to make their own way to the course collection point utilizing their own resources (this is most often the countries international airport).

From then, the transfer, accommodation, food, and teaching, practicals are covered by the scholarship.

The successful applicant may utilize the scholarship for up to two years after it is granted. For example, if you are selected on the 31st of March 2027, you can use the grant on any course until 31st March 2029.

Wildlife conservation and medicine is strongest when the people who live and work alongside wildlife have the knowledge, skills and opportunities to care for those animals themselves. Providing access to specialist training helps build that capacity locally, creating a generation of veterinarians who can play an increasingly important role in the health and conservation of the species on their doorstep.
These scholarships are about investing in people and in the long-term future of wildlife conservation.
