During our recent Rhino Dehorning Mission in Namibia, our team was called out to a day-old white rhino calf in desperate need of help. Thanks to the rapid response of Wildlife Vets Namibia and the Rhino Momma Project, he was rushed into critical care, becoming the first orphaned calf in Namibia to receive rhino plasma treatment for low antibodies. Despite every effort, including CPR, this little bull was simply too weak, and tragically passed away only hours later.
 
With fewer than 15,000 white rhinos left in the world, every life is incredibly precious, and this loss was deeply felt by our team and colleagues in Namibia. To honor his short but important story, we took 12 footprints from this calf, each a unique keepsake that connects you directly to the animals we are working tirelessly to protect.
